Valley Rugby Football Club (RFC) is delighted to announce that Paddy Shepherd has been awarded Life Membership of the club. This award recognises Paddy's extraordinary dedication and contributions to Valley RFC over 20+ seasons.
Paddy joined Valley RFC in 2005 and has been an integral part of the club ever since. As a player for over 20 seasons, he has proudly represented the Valley Mustangs, Valley Griffins, and the Valley Majai’s, accumulating over 300+ games.
His commitment to the Club extends beyond the rugby pitch. Paddy has been a driving force behind the club's success, both on and off the pitch and he has consistently demonstrated his passion for Valley RFC through various roles, including the Griffins Social Event Coordinator (2006-2009), Valley RFC Club Secretary (2009-2012), Valley RFC Vice Chairperson (2012-2014) and most recently as Valley RFC’s Director of Charities & Sustainability (2020-Present).
In this role, Paddy has spearheaded the club's charitable initiatives and promoting social responsibility within the wider Hong Kong sporting community. He has been instrumental in securing vital funding and resources for the Valley Foundation, ensuring its continued success in supporting various community projects.
The award of Life Membership is a well-deserved recognition of his exceptional contributions and unwavering support for our Club. We extend our congratulations to Paddy Shepherd on this well-deserved honour. His legacy as a dedicated player, passionate administrator, and generous supporter will forever remain a very special part of Valley RFC.
