As Valley RFC prepares to celebrate our 50th season, we want to take a moment to recognise the outstanding contributions of several long-serving committee members who are stepping down from their roles as we conclude the 2023-2024 season.

Firstly, we want to extend our thanks and gratitude to Trey Deaver, who has served as our Chairman for the past 3 years. Trey took on the role during a testing time for all sports clubs and associations and has helped rebuild membership numbers, secure new partners and sponsors and continue with Valley RFC’s winning ways across our various sports teams. The Committee and members are grateful for his leadership and contributions during this time.

We also bid farewell to exiting committee members – Toby Fenn, Adrienne Davis, Luke Groth, Bosco Chan and Caitlin Spencer, whose time and commitment towards their respective roles are highly appreciated and valued. All have contributed to the Valley RFC legacy.

As these long serving committee members depart, we are thrilled to welcome a new crop of leadership to the Valley RFC Committee. Please join us in congratulating the following individuals who have been appointed into their new roles as part of the Valley RFC Committee 2024/2025:

• Sonia Vashi – Director of Diversity & Inclusion
• Andy Dailly – Director of Business Development and the Red & Black Club
• Ben Campbell – Director of Kit

Continuing their existing roles on the Committee are:

• Rachel Bryant – Netball Convenor
• Grace Ghattas – Director of Youth
• Ian Fleming – Director of Finance
• Rob Lennox – Mens Performance Rugby Convenor
• Paddy Shepherd - Director of Charity

Tom Hall, our new Club Chairman, is a long-standing member of the Valley and brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to this role, having joined the Valley as a player in 1989 with the Mustangs and eventually with our Premiership team.

On appointment of the role, he shared “I’m honoured to be invited by the Committee to Chair the Club in our 50th Season, in what is my 35th year of membership of Valley RFC. I look forward to working with Chris Brooks and the rest of the Committee, Samantha Scott and the Valley team and all our sporting and social sections”

As Valley RFC embarks on our 50th season, we are excited about the future under this new Committee leadership.
