7. Youth Programmes Terms and Conditions


Please take a minute to read our terms & conditions.

Liability:

The participant, by enrolling with Valley Rugby Football Club Limited (Valley RFC), acknowledge and accept the safety risks.

Valley RFC, its owner, employees and coaches;
will take all reasonable care to ensure the safety of those participating at the programmes, some risks are not known or may not reasonably be foreseeable at this time.

shall not be liable for any damage whatsoever arising from personal injury or loss of property.

Enrollment & Cancellations:

Valley RFC cannot offer a pay per class service. By enrolling in this course you are enrolling for the entire block of classes.

If a student misses a class the lessons will not be credited.

If a student wishes to join a block of classes once they have already started they should contact youth@valleyrfc.com

Payment should be made in full for the block of classes on or before the first class.

Attending a class without prior notification is considered equivalent to enrollment … requiring payment for all remaining classes.

Refunds for students withdrawing from a programme after it commence will be treated on a case by case basis.

No credit will be given for classes that are cancelled once the programme has begun.

Conduct:

Appropriate attire, including footwear, must be worn: Failure to do so may result in exclusion from the class due to safety concerns.

Classes start and finish on time! Please arrive promptly and arrange immediate collection at the end of each class.

Note:

  • Valley RFC coaches cannot be responsible for minding children after the classes. If you cannot collect your child at the end of a session you should inform the Valley Youth Director immediately youth@valleyrfc.com
  • Children under 5yo must have an adult present during the duration of the class.
  • If your child is 3yo or under - an adult needs to be actively involved on pitch
  • Valley RFC reserves the right to expel students from a class, a block of classes, or the entire programme for behaviour considered unacceptable to the coaches and / or fellow students.

Weather Policy:

Youth Programmes (Training) are cancelled when any of the following occur:

  • T8 or above;
  • Red or Black rain warning which will be active 3 hours before training is scheduled to commence
  • Amber rain warning which is going to be active 2 hour before training is scheduled to commence
  • T3 which is going to be active 2 hour before training is scheduled to commence (unless danger has clearly passed on HK island)
  • Thunderstorm warning with lightning that will continuously affect the training area for period of training.
  • Air Quality index reaches 10+

In addition, all the above conditions can be checked by parents using Hong Kong Observatory and the Air Quality Health Index websites.

[Note – government pitches are open in Amber/T3/Thunderstorm although ”management may also exercise discretion to close the facilities when, in its opinion, that the facilities are unsuitable for use from safety or operation point of view”.]

Where possible Valley RFC will make the call as early as possible on Training Days to avoid unnecessary travel - notification will be sent via email to the address provided.

​Photography and Video Policy:

Valley RFC will take all steps to ensure all images and video footage taken by staff are used solely for the purposes they are intended: print publications, online publications, presentations, websites, and social media.

Any concerns about our photography and video policy or insight that images and footage are being used inappropriately should be referred to our Youth Development Director or Club General Manager immediately.

Consent:

By enrolling your child with Valley RFC, or attending a trial class, you agree that your child will abide by the above rules and regulations.

By taking part in any of our classes you are agreeing that sport carries inherent risk of physical injury, and you understand that Valley RFC Ltd, its owners, employees and coaches are not responsible for any injury to your child.
